Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Carrier Offload?

Carrier Offload is a program that lets businesses host a small device to improve indoor mobile coverage for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Google Fi customers. The device uses your existing internet connection to provide seamless indoor connectivity — at no cost to you.

2. How much does it cost to participate?

Nothing. Hosting a Carrier Offload device is completely free for your business and your customers.

3. How does the device work?

The device connects to your internet and broadcasts a secure mobile network signal indoors. Phones automatically connect using Passpoint and SIM authentication, meaning no passwords to share and no extra steps for customers.

4. Will it slow down my internet?

No. The device uses a small amount of bandwidth and is designed not to interfere with your business operations.

5. Is it safe and secure?

Yes. Carrier Offload uses network isolation, which keeps your business network separate from the device’s network. There’s no risk to your internal systems or data.

6. Do I get paid for hosting?

Yes. You earn monthly revenue from hosting the device. Additionally, you’ll receive $200 for every business you refer that gets approved and installs a device.

7. What are the requirements to host a device?

  • A stable internet connection.
  • A business location open to customers or the public.
  • An indoor area with poor mobile coverage.

8. How do I apply?

Visit our Apply Page and fill out the short application form. Once approved, we’ll ship your device to you for free.

9. How do referrals work?

If you know a business that could benefit, refer them to Carrier Offload. Once they’re approved and their device is installed, you’ll earn $200, paid 30 days after installation.

10. How quickly can I be up and running?

Most hosts are set up within a few days of approval. The device installs in minutes — just plug it into power and your internet, and it starts working right away.
